Troisdorf, 05.04.2023 – IdentPro’s Warehouse Execution System has been awarded with the IFOY certificate “Best in Intralogistics” and has been nominated for the prestigious International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) AWARD in the category Software with its intelligent IoT solution.
In line with the theme “TESTING MAKES THE DIFFERENCE”, the week of the TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS in Dortmund was all about trying things out and handling them. 1,200 participants tested, asked questions and explored numerous innovations relating to intralogistics.
In this fascinating environment, the team from IdentPro demonstrated, among other things, how the Warehouse Execution System creates the digital twin in real-time. For this purpose, two test vehicles (one manned and one autonomous) were used to locate movements on the IFOY test area and identify test products. The vehicles are equipped with IoT kits that use lasers, and other devices, to detect the warehouse environment. Even during the short set-up phase, the two industrial trucks captured the environment of the Dortmund exhibition hall in collaborative operation. From this data, the IdentPro software generates the digital twin in real-time.
For the first time, the new feature of 3D visualization in real-time was also presented. The technical development was supported by IdentPro partner Ipolog with its expertise in the field of 3D visualization.
The special feature of the Ad-On: It adapts to viewing habits. Whether it’s the direct operator or the management, the 3D visualization makes it easy to track every change in the warehouse from any location. With this spacious representation of the warehouse, we are taking a further step in the digitalization of intralogistics and the industrial metaverse.
This extension could be added to the existing functions such as the 2D view. The Warehouse Execution System is not only characterized by the digital twin in real-time, but also leads to an increase in productivity of up to 30% through the integrated optimizer. The entire warehouse knowledge is bundled in one software by permanently tracking all processes. This leads to inventory & delivery security through valid stock levels, reduction of empty runs, efficient control of all forklift trucks as well as driving orders. In addition, manual errors such as incorrect storage, searches or incorrect scans are prevented. As a result, the number of personnel required in the warehouse can be reduced by up to 20%. Customers from various industries such as Warsteiner, BMW, Refresco or Hagemeister already trust in this solution.
In June, the renowned IFOY jury will select the winners in the various categories. Each participating solution provider is an important pioneer for modern intralogistics and contributes to sustainably strengthening and securing the supply chain. The IFOY AWARD Night 2023 will take place on 22.06.2023.
