Pilsner Urquell is a renowned brewery founded in 1842 in Pilsen, Czech Republic. It is famous for being the first brewery to produce pale lager beer (Pils), which became known worldwide. The main product is Pilsner Urquell beer, a typical pale lager with a distinctive taste. It has a strong international presence and is well-known and appreciated in many countries. Production volume: over 10 mio hl each Year. In 2016, Pilsner Urquell was acquired by the Japanese brewery Asahi. Asahi is one of the largest beverage companies in Japan and is continuously expanding internationally.
