Wuerzburg/Troisdorf, March 5, 2026 – The Stella One fund, managed by StellaVent Capital, has acquired the core assets of identpro GmbH, Troisdorf. The aim of the transaction is to strategically further develop identpro’s established Warehouse Execution System technology, transition it into a cloud architecture, and systematically expand it with AI-driven optimization capabilities. The operational management team as well as the highly specialized staff will remain almost entirely in place. This ensures that valuable expertise is retained while maintaining continuity in the further development of the existing technologies and solutions. The acquisition is structured as an asset deal.
Since 2007, identpro GmbH has been developing solutions for centimeter-accurate indoor and outdoor localization of assets such as pallets, containers, and stillages based on Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology. Its Warehouse Execution System (WES) creates a digital twin of the warehouse and combines real-time localization with automated process control and direct ERP feedback posting—entirely without manual barcode scanning. This integrated system architecture provides a live representation of all material movements within warehouse and production environments. Through the combination of LiDAR-based real-time localization, process control, and ERP integration, identpro is considered technologically unique in the market. The solution is used across various industries, including the beverage, paper and packaging sectors, as well as by manufacturers in steel, plastics, and construction materials. Cloud-native platform and AI integration
As part of the restart under the name identpro Systems GmbH, the existing system architecture will be consistently transitioned into a SaaS model. The goal is a cloud-based, standardized SaaS platform with continuous updates, shorter implementation times, and scalable deployment across multiple sites. In addition, the extensive data base generated from industrial real-time movement data will be systematically leveraged for AI-driven optimization. Planned capabilities include predictive warehouse optimization, automated anomaly detection, intelligent capacity planning, and self-learning forecasting models. As the data base continues to grow, the accuracy of these predictions will steadily improve. Over time, the digital twin will therefore evolve from a transparency tool into a self-optimizing decision-making platform.
